越战战时签发，从 10 岁起，Nguyen Thanh Van 就跟着父亲日夜来到 17th Parallel 工作室，观看大家工作。 1979年，Nguyen Thanh Van以文学优秀学生的称号从Ly Thuong Kiet高中毕业。在等待高考成绩期间，父亲派他跟随导演杜庆去南方，参与电影《妈妈出门在外》的制作，担任制片厂助理[1]。阮成文通过了河内建筑大学的入学考试，经过四年的学习，他决定进入河内戏剧电影大学导演系。 1988年，他大学毕业，被聘为越南故事片公司职员。[2][3]他曾担任导演 Nguyen Khac Loi 导演的电影《退役将军》的助理导演，然后继续担任其父亲的电影《Dem Long Tri Festival》和《转瞬即逝的生活》的助理导演。[1]

1992年，阮青云接拍了他的第一部电影《窄巷爱情故事》，该片获得越南电影协会安慰奖，立即肯定了他的导演才华。[2]为了这部电影，他不得不向朋友借火车票，并与另一个剧团一起前往寻找场景。[1]1993年读完Huu Phuong在《Van Nghe》周刊上发表的短篇小说《站台上的三个人》后，Thanh Van思考了三年的时间来改编这部作品。 1996年，他与编剧阮光立会面并合作，将剧本开发成电影《沙生活》。同年，他的第二部电影《无名的桉树》荣获第 11 届越南电影节银莲花奖。[4]经过多次剧本审查和编辑，1998年，Nguyen Thanh Van将《沙生活》的性质从电视剧本改为电影剧本。[5]该片于1999年上映，荣获多项国内外奖项，阮青云还荣获第13届越南电影节杰出导演奖。[4]此前，他执导的第三部电影《骨折》遭到了很多批评。[4]

自 2000 年以来，阮青云创作了一个新的电影项目，剧本由阮光绍改编自阮明洲的短篇小说《快车上的女人》。经过两年的剪辑，剧本被拍成电影《梦游的女人》，并荣获第14届越南电影节最高奖项和2003年风筝奖。[6]《沙生活》（1999年）和《梦游女人》（2003年）是Thanh Van的两部最佳影片，在国内外赢得了许多大大小小的奖项。 [3]2007年上映的电影《小心脏》帮助他获得了2007年风筝奖最佳导演奖。[7]除了电影之外，阮青云还执导过连续剧； 2010年，他凭借电视剧《帐篷》获得2009年风筝奖最佳导演奖。[8]2021年，他和陈志清导演的电影《赤色黎明》在2021年风筝奖上获得了7个奖项，并在第22届越南电影节上获得了评审团奖。[9]

入行较晚，30岁就执导了第一部电影，阮青云的电影生涯并不多，但他是越南电影制作人中少有的大多数项目都取得成功的人。 [2 ]

自2012年7月起，他担任越南故事片制片厂副艺术总监。 Nguyen Thanh Van也是艺术委员会主席和电影协会电影协会董事。 [11]

自2005年起，导演Thanh Van除了在越南故事片制片厂工作外，还开始参与其他公司的电影制作，主要是电视电影。他认为等待剧本和电影制作并不能克服电影人生活中遇到的经济困难。 [12]
